Preoperative preparation
(1) Preoperative examination
Three routine tests, coagulation function, liver and kidney function, electrocardiogram, chest X-ray, blood type, leucorrhea routine, cervical liquid-based thin-layer cytology test, HPV, etc.
(2) Skin preparation
Follow the routine abdominal and perineal surgery and pay attention to cleaning the navel.
(3) Vaginal preparation
Vaginal washing and medication may be performed before surgery, especially when vaginal penetration or assisted vaginal manipulation is required. Vaginal preparation should be performed three days before surgery.
(4) Bowel preparation
Generally, patients must fast for 6-8 hours before surgery, and have an enema the night before and on the day of surgery. If the surgery involves the intestine, a semi-liquid diet is required 2-3 days before surgery, an enema is given every night, liquid food is given one day before surgery, a cleansing enema is given the night before and on the day of surgery, and oral intestinal antibiotics are taken starting three days before surgery. Cathartic drugs may be used if necessary.
(5) Bladder preparation
Indwelling catheterization, intraoperative catheterization during some surgeries such as laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH)
(6) Special preparation before laparoscopy
For example, misoprostol tablets can be administered rectally half an hour before laparoscopic myomectomy to promote uterine contraction and reduce intraoperative bleeding; for example, a gastric tube can be placed before surgery for patients with a full stomach who need emergency laparoscopic surgery.
